Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. To generate quotes, the tool needs only your gender, birth date, health level, tobacco status, coverage amount and desired term. That information is sufficient for the carriers to provide their rates. Personal details like your name, home address and medical records are requested only if you proceed to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These are the rates individual carriers quote for the risk class you selected. During the underwriting and approval process, the carrier may affirm, improve or adjust your risk classification. Quotes represent estimates for informational use and are not a binding insurance offer or rate guarantee.

What happens when I click Apply?

You'll input your name to begin, and your selected quote automatically fills the application, which then proceeds on the carriers' encrypted system. You have the flexibility to stop and resume completing it, and you'll sign using electronic signature technology. Susman Insurance Agency, licensed in California (License 0B75129), manages the application process.

Will I need a medical exam?

The answer depends on the insurance company you select, the amount you're seeking and your specific circumstances. Some carriers provide fast-track approval decisions within hours or days for qualified applicants; each quote indicates whether a medical exam is expected, possible or usually not needed for that product.

Is a longer term better?

A term length should cover the period during which your family would face hardship from your absence: paying off a mortgage, supporting young children, covering business debts. Extending the term means paying more monthly but locking in your rate for a longer span. The quote comparison lets you see costs for 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year options side-by-side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quoting tool collects no personal contact information; we keep no record of who uses the site or what they view; our analytics don't depend on cookies. Check the privacy policy for a complete rundown of what data gets captured and by whom.
